International Airport Berlin finally open Oct.20 – GEFIRA project accelerates.

This will accelerate the process of development of the surrounding infrastructure. GEFIRA is in it since more than a year: together with a well-known German real estate development company GEFIRA MANAGEMENT AG is driving forward the construction of a new 314 rooms hotel next to the hub airport. Over recent weeks several milestones have been set: suitable property is purchased, rental contract with an international hotel chain fixed, building permit achieved. GEFIRA managed to collect in total EUR 15 million of Mezzanine capital to finance the equity rate for the project. The financing volume for the project amounts to EUR 50 million. Opening is planned for 2024.
